This California Privacy Notice supplements PlacementCorp’s Privacy Policy and applies exclusively to residents of the State of California. It describes how PlacementCorp LLC collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).
PlacementCorp provides executive search, contingency staffing, and AI consulting services to organizations in higher education, healthcare, and related sectors. In delivering those services, we collect personal information from candidates, client contacts, and website visitors.
PlacementCorp does not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not share your personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. As a result, the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” opt-out right may have limited practical applicability — but we still honor it fully.
Note on B2B Exemptions: Some CCPA rights apply differently to personal information collected in a business-to-business (B2B) context, such as information about client contacts collected solely to provide recruitment services. We describe applicable distinctions throughout this notice.

Request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the business purposes, and the third parties with whom it has been shared.
Request that we delete personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., completing a transaction, legal compliance, fraud prevention).
Request that we correct inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you, taking into account the nature and purposes of the processing.
Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. As noted above, PlacementCorp does not sell or share personal information for advertising, but you may still submit this request.
Request that we limit our use and disclosure of sensitive personal information (such as SSNs, if applicable) to only what is necessary to perform services or as permitted by law.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights — including by denying services, charging different prices, or providing a different quality of service.
You may submit a verifiable consumer request to exercise your rights using any of the following methods:
To protect your information, we are required to verify your identity before processing a request. We will ask you to provide information that reasonably matches what we have on file for you (e.g., name, email address, and/or phone number). We will not use the information provided for verification for any other purpose.
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a CCPA request on your behalf. We require written authorization or a power of attorney in accordance with California Probate Code, and we may verify your identity directly before processing any request submitted by an agent.
We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 10 business days and will respond substantively within 45 days. If we require additional time (up to 90 days total), we will notify you in writing of the extension and the reason for it.
We do not charge a fee for verifiable requests unless they are manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive. In those cases, we may charge a reasonable fee or decline the request, providing an explanation.
The CCPA/CPRA defines certain categories of information as “sensitive personal information” (SPI) that warrant heightened protection. PlacementCorp collects SPI only in limited circumstances:
We do not collect other categories of SPI (such as precise geolocation, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, health data, sexual orientation, or biometric data) in the ordinary course of our services.
You have the right to direct us to limit the use and disclosure of your sensitive personal information to uses necessary to perform the services or provide goods you request, or as otherwise permitted under the CPRA.
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this notice, complete active engagements, and comply with legal obligations. Our general retention practices:
When personal information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it in accordance with our data retention policies.
PlacementCorp’s services are directed exclusively to working professionals and organizations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 16. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a minor, we will promptly delete it.

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 (the “Shine the Light” law) permits California residents to request certain information about the disclosure of their personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes during the preceding calendar year.
